Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) was displayed at the October 2002 Broadcast World Africa 2002 Conference held in Midrand. With the excellent support and co-operation with Systematic Designs (http://www.systematic.co.za ) and their German principles Inova Computers ( www.inova-computers.de/web/index.html),Sentech could during the Digital Radio session demonstrate how Digital Radio was used in a multimedia broadcast to stream data to public transport vehicles. On display were two TFT LCD screens and a data server fitted with a DMB receiver as used in the Berlin public transport system to deliver and display Passenger Information.
